St Patrick’s Day is near so here are some things you didn’t know:

The actual colour of St. Patrick is blue. Green became associated with St. Patrick's Day during the 19th century. Green, in Irish legends, was worn by fairies and immortals, and also by people to encourage their crops to grow.

The Irish flag is green, white and orange. The green symbolizes the people of the south, and orange, the people of the north. White represents the peace that brings them together as a nation.

Legend says that each leaf of clover means something: the first is for hope, the second for faith, the third for love and the fourth for luck.

‘Happy St Patrick’s Day’ to all our Irish Customers and Suppliers !

Berck takes on an apprentice tool setter

We are taking on an apprentice tool setter in August to begin a programme of investing for the future. We believe that we are able to provide first class training which will benefit both the company and the trainee.

We are members of the Engineering Employers Federation and they will be fully involved in the preparation of an integrated training plan for the newest member of our team.

Keep an eye on our blog to find out more...

Berck Changes Banks!

Berck has recently changed bankers to HSBC after 64 years with our old provider.

The main area of our growth over the last 12 months has been in export markets and our old bank was not in a position to support us going forward. HSBC have proved to be proactive in helping our business and were instrumental in getting us involved with the British-American Business Council. The decision to change banks after such a long period was a difficult one but it has proved to be exactly right for the business as we now enjoying the benefits of a truly global organisation.

Berck joins the 'British American Business Council' in the Midlands

Berck are proud to announce that we are now part of the British American Business Council within the West Midlands.

BABC Midlands is a chapter of the New York headquartered British-American Business Council, the leading transatlantic networking organisation. The BABC Midlands is committed to promoting transatlantic trade and investment among our international group of businesses.

BABC membership will provide Berck with direct access to business leaders throughout North America and the UK. Other membership benefits include business intelligence, networking events, policy updates and marketing opportunities.
